![]() ![]() First Aid can repair disk-related issues on Macs, which include SD cards failing to show up on your Mac. An effective strategy is to repair it with First Aid in Disk Utility. If the SD card is showing up but you can't mount the SD card manually, then the SD card is corrupted for some reason.In fact, up until the Windows 10 Anniversary update, you couldn’t partition a USB or SD card with disk management. It’s not so great with a USB or a Micro SD card. Since disk-utility archived the full SD card with partitions, I would assume is has a way to recover it going the other way. It’s great with both hard drives and SSDs. Since this card contains three partitions with one being a blessed bootable partition, I would like to see if there are any ways to get my Mac to generate these for me. Disk Management is a stock utility in Windows that can manage drives and create partitions of your hard drive.The cards are recognized when using a USB adaptor, and also work fine in my wife's MBP SD card. I have a mid-2009 13' MBP (2.26, 4 gigs, 1TB HDD, SL 10.6.4) and the SD card reader is not recognizing any of my SD cards (won't mount and also not seen in Disk Utility).Select MS-DOS (FAT) if the card is 32 GB.
